Warm Welcome Kits

Since the Senator Philip D. Lewis Center opened, the staff has welcomed an unexpected 13,000 men, women and children. Often the families and individuals are carrying everything they own in a black plastic garbage bag.

That's why the Homeless Coalition provides Warm Welcome Kits to everyone who comes through the doors of the Lewis Center. This program provides a warm welcome in the form of a simple and sturdy cloth tote bag or backpack stuffed with little necessities and comforts to make the transition from homelessness to home easier.
